I first discovered TYPO3 by looking at the source of www.blender3d.org - a site I long admired and used daily while exploring my favourite Open Source 3D app.  At the time it was way too much like hard work and I couldn't justify the learning time.

By the time a client specified a multi-lingual, multi-site project though, a thorough examination of the available platforms revealed that it was a strong contender and TYPO3 was promptly installed on a testing server.

Since then TYPO3 has proved to be a reliable and capable platform for developing sites for nearly all of the projects I undertake.
